I had the pleasure of working on Paul's eight-month-old dreads, started off by dread perm. He was mostly concerned with rounding his ends, so I rounded all the ones that were ready for it. There were a few that were basically just straight hair, so we let them be. He had some thread tied towards the roots and along the dreads, which were removed. He also had a few dreads that merged together at the root but were separate at the end, so they were combined.

Paul came back to have a little bit of a cleanup. There were still some spots that weren't dreading properly, and after a bit of digging, I found some thread still stuck inside these dreads. Soon, the regular hair you see in the middle of some locks should begin to loop and become solid.
