I met Raquel and her nine-month-old dreads at the Etsy Dallas Spring Bash craft fair. We got to talking about locks, and I found out she was waxing, which I encouraged her to immediately stop. She did some work to get it (mostly) out before our appointment. I blunted the ends, combined several dreads that had already congoed at the roots, did some minor root separation, and pulled in some loops.

The dread below had congoed at the root but was forked at the end. Raquel decided to have me combine these instead of separating. Before:
